John Deere Tractor Birthday Party

August 6, 2024 by whitnit99

This John Deere Tractor Birthday Party was too much fun to plan and turned out absolutely adorable for my son’s second birthday. This theme could be used for any and all brands of tractors, but my son is especially fond of “green tractors.” Aside from my adorable son’s excited face, using different types of tractors and farm equipment for the food table was the highlight of the party! Read on to see all the best ideas as well as get access to FREE PRINTABLES!

Also, this party took place at our family’s shared pool house, so please just ignore all the junk in the background :).

Food Shopping List

  • Rice Crispy Treats
  • Cheesy Puff Corn
  • Mini Chocolate Donuts
  • Muddy Buddies (Puppy Chow)
  • Chips & Dips
  • Charcuterie Items (I used strawberries, grapes, apples, cheese squares, ritz crackers, pigs in a blanket)

John Deere Themed Shopping List

  • Combine, Tractor and Grain Cart
  • Tractor and Hay Trailer
  • Tractor with Bucket
  • Metal “Food Trough” Buckets

Tractor Tires

Mini chocolate donuts make the best tractor tires!

Bales of Hay

Bales of hay were simply pre-made rice crispy treats placed in a John Deere hay wagon! (I have discovered these large, metal John Deere toys are very hard to find. This wagon was left over from when my brother was a child.)

Corn Harvest

Puff Corn placed in this John Deere combine and grain cart combination was perfect for this John Deere Birthday Party! If you are really into farming, you will just have to use your imagination because this set comes with a bean header instead of a corn header.

Cattle Feed

This John Deere Bucket Tractor scooping Muddy Buddies (Puppy Chow) into a galvanized metal bucket made the perfect display of cattle feed on a farm!

Green and Yellow Cupcakes

These cupcakes were made using the same recipe found in this post: “How to Make a John Deere Tractor Pull Apart Cake.” Because of the limited space on the food table for this party I decided to do green and yellow cupcakes, but the tractor pull apart cake linked above would be perfect for this party as well!

Pitch Forks and Shovels

Diesel Fuel

Since off road diesel is red, I wanted to use a red punch recipe that was mostly fruit juices. I found this Christmas Morning Punch recipe to a perfect representation of diesel fuel, and it tasted great, too!

Super adorable!!! Thanks for the ideas. Where did you get the little tags with the sky and tractor on them to label the food?
